When do you feel most in your element?

I've realized during this time that I'm most in my element when creating or making something with my hands. It can be as simple as learning to regrow food scraps in my mini home garden, or something more challenging, like taking on a new sewing project. There's just something about the mindful process of taking a material and turning it into something completely new. It’s just as exciting and beautiful as the final product.

What has life looked like for you during this time? Any insight into moments of hope or hardship?

These days, life has been complete with up-and-down days, and like many people, my idea of a regular, "normal" life went out the window when recent uncertainties came along. However, during this time, I've learned to pare down, live on less, and appreciate the little things. Simple things like our daily evening stroll to the mailbox, or finding joy in short connections with our neighbors. Most of all, I've appreciated the slower pace of life, and not feeling like I'm rushing to the next event or appointment. There can definitely be difficult days, but I'm learning to be grateful for each day that I have, and to take it one day at a time.

What are some things you're into or inspired by lately?

Lately, I've been really inspired by being outdoors. I've had so much time to just sit and observe, or to go for a long walk and take in my surroundings. I feel like I’m a total tourist again when I pull out my phone just to take photos of the beautiful sky, or random shrubs I see along the way!
