Style Notes with our Denim Designer– The Military Pant

This season, we want to give you products you can truly make your own. Whether you are dressing up or down, we want ABLE to be the one to get you there. That's why we're introducing the Military Pant. Endlessly versatile and easy to style, this pant was made with you in mind. We chatted with Jenny, our denim designer, to give you a deeper look into what makes the military pant so special. Grab a cup of coffee and sit in on our conversation below.

What's the inspiration behind this design?

At Paris Fashion week, there was a woman wearing oversized military pants with heels and a silky top, and I thought that her style was aspirational. I love the tomboy element of military inspired detail, in a neutral olive color, with a fit that becomes feminine and flattering and can be worn with kicks and a t-shirt or dressed up and worn on the streets of Paris.

What makes the ABLE Military Pant different from other military pants?

We have stone washed the 100% cotton to give a soft, wearable handfeel so that they are comfortable but also have a flattering drape. Also, the fit is what makes them unique to us! If you like our slouch fit, you'll find these are right up your alley too!

How would you style them?

Ooh I think these pants can be worn just about any way. Personally, I have worn them with a sheer black silky top and black suede heels; I've worn them with white converse and a graphic tee; I've worn them with a crisp white shirt and boots. They are proving to be an incredibly versatile piece within my wardrobe.

What are some unique ways people can make the Military Pant their own?

I want people to have fun with wearing these– I recommend double-cuffing them for a cropped look, but I also would love to see people cutting their own raw hems, or wearing them unrolled. If someone wants to get really creative, these would be amazing pants to paint in so they get paint splattered and then worn with a silk blouse, just if someone is really feeling adventurous!
