Meet Barbara!

Meet Barbara!

A few months ago we expanded our impact to now working with women locally, as well as globally.  Currently, our local women create our jewelry line, known as the Miriam Collection.  We love these gals so much, and want to introduce them to you over the next few weeks.

We've introduced you to TerriLindsey, and Melissa.  Next up: meet Barbara. Barbara is kind and wise, and we love having her on our team! She has a great eye for detail and dominates making all of your Ring Bar orders.

Q. How long have you been in Nashville? Where are you from originally?

A. I’ve been in Nashville for 15 years and am originally from Baton Rouge.

Q.  If you wouldn't mind, tell us a little bit about yourself. Your family, background, etc.

A. I am 27 and am recently married to my wonderful husband, Travis. Together, we have 4 beautiful daughters. I currently am in school studying Psychology because I struggled with drug and alcohol abuse for many years. Having overcome this by the grace of God, I now hope to be able to help others that share the same struggle.

Q. How did you hear about FASHIONABLE?

A. I met Gracie (Miriam Collection founder) through a non-profit that I worked for and began working making jewelry a little over a year ago. We partnered with FASHIONABLE along the way and then merged this summer.

Q. What’s your favorite thing about making jewelry?

A. I’ve been able to find a creative side that I didn’t even know I had. I love making things from scratch and seeing the beautiful pieces they turn into. And I have found a love/appreciation for jewelry that never existed before.

Q. What do you love to do in your free time?

A. Spending time with my family. We love to go fishing, watch movies, and cook.

Q. What’s your favorite jewelry piece?

A. The Moonbeam (ABLE necklace)- It was the first piece of jewelry that I ever made, it’s simple & it goes with everything.

Q. What are you ABLE to do because of your job at FASHIONABLE?

A. I am ABLE to help provide for my family and be encouraged by being around my work family. I am also ABLE to help encourage other women who join our team and have struggled with similar issues as myself, and I am ABLE to embrace the creative side of myself that I never knew existed.
